Professor Lang Tong has been appointed as the Cornell site director of the Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC).
Professor Tong has been appointed as the Cornell site director of the Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC). As a National Science Foundation Industry-University Cooperative Research Center, PSERC draws on university capabilities to creatively address the challenges facing the electric power industry.
Professor Tong is the Irwin and Joan Jacobs Professor of Engineering.
His recent research focuses on future power and energy systems and smart grid including home energy systems, wind integration, state estimation, and grid security. He is also part of the Engineering and Economics of Electricity Research Group (E3RG) at Cornell.
