Professor David Albonesi Wins MICRO Test of Time Award

ECE Professor David Albonesi’s 1999 paper entitled “ Selective Cache Ways: On-Demand Cache Resource Allocation” has been recognized as one of MICRO’s most influential publications of the last half century. The MICRO Test of Time (ToT) award is presented during the International Symposium on Microarchitecture to an exclusive selection of publications which have had significant impact in the field. This year, only two papers are deemed to have stood the test of time. Lang Tong Again Among Best Conference Paper Winners at IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting

A paper co-authored by Mariola Ndrio, Subhonmesh Bose, Ye Guo, and Lang Tong (ECE) won one of the Prize Conference Paper awards at the 2019 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting (PESGM), the society’s flagship conference. The award was given to the best papers selected from the Best Conference Paper sessions, which Tong has now won two years in a row. NSF Awards Cyber-Physical Systems Grants to ECE Professors Lang Tong and Ed Suh

ECE Alumna to Lead NSF Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has selected Margaret Martonosi to serve as head of the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE).
