Forbes names Cornell #3 STEM college of 2016

Cornell ranks #3 on Forbes' "Top STEM Colleges 2016" list.

Cornell University is one of the top colleges in the country for studies in science, technology, engineering and math, according to Forbes’ “Top STEM Colleges 2016” list.

Cornell landed at #3 on the ranking, which considered schools whose most popular areas of study included at least 40 percent in STEM. MIT was #1, followed by the United States Naval Academy.

Forbes notes each college’s overall and best-value rankings, which were released earlier in the year. Cornell is ranked the #29 “Top College of 2016,” according to Forbes, and the #36 “Best Value College 2016.” The STEM ranking also looked at the number of students majoring in engineering. At Cornell, that number is 17 percent.
