Richard Quan, Cornell ECE Undergraduate, Class of 2015
I actually majored in Industrial & Labor Relations my freshman year! It wasn't until I took a course in ECE that I realized that I wanted to study new technologies rather than the old. Now instead of industrial technology and history, I get to learn about electronic automation and emerging technologies in what I find to be the area of engineering where groundbreaking research is happening.
In ECE, I have found a network of brilliant classmates who have a diverse array of interests. All of those interests can be covered in the ECE major, and I have been able to fully explore what I wanted out of my own career path. Through the coursework, I have also had the opportunity to apply my knowledge and build useful, but also really entertaining projects.
