Electronic Design Automation

Research in electronic design automation explores new algorithms, methodologies, and tools for automating the design, analysis, optimization, and verification of very large-scale integrated circuits. This field is critical to the success of the semiconductor industry and enables engineers to implement increasingly complex yet reliable systems with billions of transistors in nanoscale technologies. Our core areas of expertise include platform-based high-level synthesis; architecture and compiler co-optimization for hardware specialization; and the automation of asynchronous circuit design and implementation.
