Biography:

Rajit Manohar is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell, where his group conducts research on asynchronous design. He received his B.S. (1994), M.S. (1995), and Ph.D. (1998) from Caltech, and has been on the Cornell faculty since 1998 where he founded its Computer Systems Lab. He is the recipient of an NSF CAREER award, four best paper awards, six teaching awards, and was named to MIT technology review's top 35 young innovators under 35.  He founded Achronix, a fabless semiconductor company developing high-performance asynchronous FPGAs.

Research interests:

Prof. Manohar is interested in asynchronous VLSI design and architecture. His completed research projects include the design of a high-performance asynchronous microprocessor, the first ultra low power processor for sensor networks, and a GHz-speed asynchronous FPGA architecture.
