Biosensors and Biomedical Devices

Broad interdisciplinary research efforts on biosensors and biomedical devices are conducted under the Graduate Field of Electrical Engineering, especially for the electronic interface to the biological world and the living system.  Technical approaches include nanobio interface, microfluidics, electro-optofludics, electrochemistry and bio-MEMS.  The National Center of Cornell Nanofabrication Facilities (CNF), Cornell Center for Materials Research (CCMR) and Nanobiotechnology Center (NBTC) provide top-of-the-line research facilities in addition to many individual faculty labs.
