Spotlight on Students: Brecken Blackburn
Brecken Blackburn, Cornell ECE Undergraduate, Class of 2015
I initially came to Cornell to study biological engineering because I wanted to pursue my interest in biosensors and bioimaging. Once I got here, I found out that there's actually a lot more flexibility to do that inside of the electrical and computer engineering major. I could learn a lot more technical background skills while I was still an undergraduate, so I could start doing research and actually start creating these devices while I was here at Cornell.
Being an ECE at Cornell has been great because even though we have a very rigorous course load, I've still been able to participate in independent research and be a leader on my project team. Being able to both of those at the same time and the same place has just been a really great experience.
